Emilia Newell is the director of firm operations for Applied Marketing Science (AMS). In this role, Emilia manages projects and programs that reach across AMS’s administrative functions, including finance and accounting, human resources, information technology, and marketing. She also supports the president and practice leaders in their day-to-day management of important firm matters, implementing initiatives and best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Prior to joining AMS, Emilia was the operations manager for a waste management consulting firm and oversaw the materials management department for a large local hospital. In these roles, she managed the cross-disciplinary functions of operations including financial, budgetary, project management, property and office management, IT, and others. Emilia has a strong background in organizational leadership, process analysis and improvement, and executive management.
Emilia holds a B.S. in industrial engineering (and operations) and a B.S. in music performance from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, as well as a minor in management.
