Senior Manager

Raquel Mendizábal, Ph.D., is a senior manager for the Litigation Support practice at Applied Marketing Science (AMS). 

In her role, Raquel has played a central role in a broad range of qualitative and quantitative market research projects, supporting top academic experts and practitioners in a wide range of high-stakes litigation matters involving trademark infringement, likelihood of confusion, secondary meaning, genericism, false and deceptive advertising, and class action. She contributes to all phases of the litigation research process, including exploratory research, survey design, survey fielding, data analysis, and report development. 

Raquel chairs the DEI Council at AMS, where she leads firm-wide initiatives to advance equity, inclusion, and representation, while also contributing to DEI efforts across the broader market research industry. 

Prior to joining AMS, Raquel worked as a research data analyst for the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where she helped implement assessment projects to analyze usage data, client satisfaction, and learning outcomes to track progress and success of mental health services.  

Raquel holds a Ph.D. and an M.A. in applied psychology from Southern Illinois University – Carbondale and a B.A. in psychology from Hope College.
